Wound Care Services
Advanced care for chronic wounds, complex wounds, and wound prevention in North Bend and Bandon.
If you have a wound that is slow to heal, keeps coming back, or is linked to diabetes, poor circulation, surgery, or injury, getting the right care early can make a big difference. At Oregon Coast Wound Center, we provide advanced wound treatment close to home so patients can get expert care without traveling far.
What Wound Care Means
Wound care is more than cleaning a wound and applying a bandage. It involves identifying why healing has slowed, treating the wound safely, and addressing the medical issues that may be causing the problem.
Our goal is to help wounds heal properly, reduce the risk of infection, and prevent small problems from turning into more serious complications.

Wounds We Treat
We care for many types of wounds, including:
Venous and arterial ulcers
Surgical and post-operative wound complications
Traumatic wounds and skin loss
Autoimmune and vascular-related skin breakdown
Infected wounds and bone exposure
Wounds requiring skin grafts or flap monitoring
Early Detection & Prevention Matters
Preventing a wound from becoming chronic is just as important as treating one. Early intervention can reduce pain, complications, and long recovery times. We perform routine screenings and work with patients to recognize risk factors โ such as:
Poor circulation or vascular disease
Diabetes and neuropathy
Immune system concerns
Inadequate wound care early on
Through education, proper footwear, offloading, and regular monitoring, we aim to prevent wounds before they become serious.

Treatments We Offer
Every wound is different. Thatโs why we provide a wide range of treatments, from basic care to advanced therapies. Your care team may recommend:
Comprehensive Wound Evaluation : A thorough assessment of your wound, health history, and contributing factors to determine the best treatment plan.
Debridement : The gentle removal of dead or infected tissue to encourage healthy tissue growth.
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) : A vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) system that promotes faster healing by drawing fluid away from the wound and increasing blood flow.
Advanced Wound Dressings : Use of specialized products including antimicrobial dressings, hydrocolloids, alginates, and foams designed to optimize the healing environment.
Engineered Skin Grafts and Allografts : Application of biologically active grafts to stimulate tissue regeneration in deep or stubborn wounds.
Compression Therapy : Used for venous ulcers or swelling-related wounds, including Unna boots and multi-layer compression wraps.
Offloading and Footwear Recommendations : Reducing pressure on wounds (especially for diabetic foot ulcers) using devices like total contact casts or customized shoes.
Infection Management : Monitoring and treatment to prevent or resolve infection, with coordination across specialists if needed.
Surgical Wound Closure : When needed, our podiatric surgeon can provide flap closures, wound repair, or limb-sparing surgical intervention.
A Collaborative Approach to Healing
