Vascular & Circulation-Related Foot Issues

Poor circulation can make minor foot problems worse and delay healingโ€”especially in patients with diabetes, venous disease, or peripheral artery disease (PAD). At Oregon Coast Wound Center, our team specializes in identifying and treating vascular-related foot and lower leg conditions to prevent complications and restore comfort.

What Are Vascular Foot Issues?

Vascular conditions affect how blood flows to and from your feet. When circulation is reduced, wounds heal slower, the skin may break down, and the risk of infection rises. You may notice cold feet, discoloration, swelling, leg cramps, or ulcers that wonโ€™t heal.

If you notice slow-healing wounds or ulcers, skin discoloration or dark patches, swelling in your lower legs or feet, cramping while walking or during the night, or shiny, thin skin on your legs, these may be signs of an underlying vascular issue. Itโ€™s important to seek a professional evaluation before these symptoms progress or lead to complications.
